Crafted from golden Cotswold stone, with breathtaking panoramic views: Dryhill Lodge is the exclusive retreat of your dreams.
Tucked away in a secluded rural location, Dryhill Lodge is a stunning Cotswolds property, with an adjoining 18th century barn conversion which has been lovingly restored. It’s the perfect getaway for a large family, several couples, or anyone looking for a luxurious spot from which to explore the beautiful countryside. Enjoy hearty meals in local pubs, explore the Cotswolds on day trips to castles, and enjoy fresh picnics on pretty walks in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Far away from the bustle of the city, yet just five miles from culture-rich Cheltenham, this is the perfect base for your Cotswolds getaway. Enjoy a long lie in sumptuous beds, before padding along the corridor to brew fresh coffee.
Climb the wide flight of elegant oak stairs, cantilevered from the stone wall, into the airy living space and be amazed by the spectacular views from the first floor as you tuck into breakfast.
Return from invigorating walks in Crickley Hill Country Park to the scent of your wood burning stove, and feel the comforting warmth from the underfloor heating seep through your socks.
In the evenings, watch the skies fade from blue to orange through floor-to-ceiling windows, and curl up in front of the fire with some chilled wine and a good film.
Tiptoe out to the secluded courtyard in the morning to see the skies come alive at sunrise, or sit out amongst the olive trees with a cup of tea. Upstairs in the Lodge, fling open the large sliding doors to listen to the birds, or do some gentle yoga on your spacious balcony.
The Lodge is set in two acres of vibrant woodland, perfect for exploring the area which is rich in history. The landscaped gardens were inspired by visits to Hauser & Wirth and feature a prairie style design, in close proximity to the Summer house, which includes a hammock for relaxation. Walk to the nearby iron age fort, and visit the local café serving homemade cakes with tea, which is adjacent to a highly recommended visitor centre for the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. We also have a very popular 1.5 hour circular walk through Crickley Hill Country Park, which conveniently passes the local pub.
Spend the evenings making pizza in your very own Valoriani wood-fired oven, in the secluded courtyard, and soak in the glorious senset with a glass of local bubbly.
The main Lodge has two spacious Super King bedrooms on the ground floor, where one can be configured as a Twin. Each bedroom has access to its own outside terrace with a sun lounger, and you’ll find plenty of fitted wardrobe space. The luxurious bathroom suites have walk-in power showers, and you’ll find a cloakroom toilet on the ground floor.
In the adjoining Barn, the romantic mezzanine bedroom has a King-sized double bed. The living space has two large single sofas which convert into comfortable single beds, ideal for two children. The large luxury bathroom on the ground floor has a freestanding bath and walk-in power shower.
Adjacent to the Barn, there is a stunning Oak and Glass Room, which houses a multi-purpose table, convertible from an office desk and dining table, through to a pool table and table tennis.
With high speed fibre internet, a large wall mounted smart TV and independent heating, this annex, with secluded patio, offers peaceful seclusion with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
We are very much dog-friendly, and you’re welcome to bring them with you. There are amazing walks straight from your door.
There is parking space for 4 cars, a tap for washing your boots or dogs, and a store with logs to burn throughout your stay.
In the Lodge, enthusiastic cooks will enjoy the high-spec kitchen, with a Siemens steam oven, separate fan oven/microwave, and a 4 ring Siemens induction hob with pop-up extractor. You’ll find a Liebherr larder fridge and a separate wine store.
In the adjoining Barn, you’ll find a kitchenette with a single hob, microwave, slow cooker and a fridge freezer.
